So I got some help getting my Full Graphic Smart Controller to connect to my Folger i3 last night and I can now control the printer from the LCD panel. But some other issues have come up.
First the LCD's card reader won't read an SD unless I bend and hold the end of the SD upwards about a quarter inch or more. Obviously the contacts on the SD aren't contacting those in the reader when it slides in and bending it is required to force the contacts together. Anyone have any clever fixes for this?
I'm also now unable to connect to my printer with Repetier. When I click the red "Connect " button in the top left corner, the green led on the Arduino flashes a couple of times and the message in the lower left corner of Repetier changes to "Connnected: Prusa" but the actual "Connect" button doesn't change from red to green as it usually does when it connects and I'm not able to manually control the printer. I should mention that when I am trying this I have disconnected the LCD card from the printer.
EDIT:
K so Folger is sending me a new Full Graphics card. Thanks Dan.
And for some reason I can connect to the Arduino only when the printer is unplugged. If I unplug the power cord and connect Repetier to the Arduino and then plug in the power cord to do some printing I lose control of the printer. This has been happening since Steve and I uploaded a newer Marlin version so that I could connect the Full Graphics card but I can't figure out how plugging in the printer would make it so that the Arduino can't communicate with my laptop.
