Crazy move at the same height just to continue printing

Hello,

I have a problem for a while why I can just use 50% of the size of my printer :-I

At the same height the printer stops, Z axis moves up a bit, X and Y move to a relativ place, stop and then continue printing...

Did you slice with slic3r? When slic3r flakes out it sometimes does stuff like this. Try slicing with cura.

Jeep I m using Cura and the problem occurs when I print from SD Card as well.

Take a look at the gcode and see if it is really telling the thing to move that way. Cura should display the preview showing the tool path. Otherwise you can load the gcode using gcode.ws in a web browser and examine it layer by layer. If the weird moves aren't in the gcode, you probably need to try reflashing the firmware in your controller board.

Oh my good you are right I found it:

But what does it mean...

I was looking in my Cura and for a parameter called "Z height to tweak at (mm)" and there is the value 5!

I will delete that 5 and see whether it s gone.

In Cura click the Plugins tab.
You may have enabled the Tweak at height plugin.

Thanks a lot - yes that was the problem!

I enabled a pause at height 5 mm.

Thanks a lot - now I can use the other 50 percent of my printer again : )
