Mk3 Aluminium heatbed

Hi guys,

I have issue's with the mk3 alu heatbed, i have 2 of them from different suppliers and both have the same issue.
One can't get over 70c and the other 74c max (12v 19A psu), i tried to use a second power supply for the bed alone but that didn't change a thing.
I also noticed that the front of the bed is much hotter then the back (And by that i mean the front and the back of the alu side).

Would a cork board make much difference, or do i really need a 24v psu?

Thanks

Is it wired for 12 or 24 volts? read here: [forums.reprap.org]

Ground wire must connect to both pads for 12volt use.

I have the same problem. The resistance is too high for 12V and the two halves heat differently when wired in parallel.
