Marlin error > echo: SD init fail

Hello.

Today, I enable the "#define SDSUPPORT" to work stand alone from my pc.. but started my problem.
The SD Card work perfectly when insert or remove the card.. but when I start the printer without SD card the error appears in console of pronterface

I tryed change the LCD (same model) and problem persist.
How I fix it? Or it is normal when we dont have SD Card inserted?

I use the REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER

Normal when there is no sd card.

I don't think this is normal behavior. Info screen shows when 'Card inserted' and 'Card removed' so that part is recognized. But once you go to the Main menu, the last menu item says No Card.

Tried many SD cards 512M, 4/8/16/32GB. The 16GB did not work at first. Once I tried an 8GB, most of the rest of the SD cards worked.
