Fail-safe tube fitting

I found it at a specialized hardware store. The price is cheaper than Pushfit fitting.

Housing screw:
– M6, pitch is 0.9mm
– Length is 6.00 mm
Coupling housing width: 10.00 mm
Locking screw: 8.00 mm

It holds PTFE tube (OD 4.00 mm, ID 2.00 mm) firmly. It eliminates the tube movement once it's secured by the locking screw.
The red filament is 1.75 mm PLA. There is no restriction against filament movement.

This kind of fix becomes thing of the past.

Interesting!

How does the little bead "clamp" on the tube? and how did the store describe this item?

Im looking into stronger bowden couplers atm to increase print speed so im developing this double coupler, but a simple metal piece is of course nicer to work with.

It's a compression fitting. If you tighten it too much, it will crush the tube and the filament won't be able to go through.
