Stepper issue

I switched out my 200 rev steppers for 400 rev steppers
the wiring colour were totally different but i did my best and I believe i got it correct
using DRV8825 Drivers set to 1/16 Micro

I increased my steps per mm from 114 steps/mm to 228 step per mm but my machine is only moving half as much as i expected.
since i increased from 200 to 400 i assume my steps would double to achieve the same accuracy

If I did the wiring wrong and one of the windings was backwards I assume it wouldnt move at all.

Need to help to trouble shoot this.. I dont feel doubling the to 456 Steps/mm again.. is the real solution.

how did you update your steps/mm

what does M503 say about these settings?

I'm guessing you updated your firmware, but your machine is using the values stored in eeprom so the new value is being ignored

you were right, I ended up doing a M502 and it took the updated firmware settings.
