I'm sure there is a procedure for restarting a broken filament or changing filaments which I don't know. I learned that continuing to extrude and stuffing the new filament end in behind the old does not work. How about reversing the extruder while continuing to heat the nozzle and pulling on the end above the extruder? Because of all my attempts,I ended up with the pipe leading to the nozzle clogged up and had to take everything apart and drill it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe the drilling is the reason for the ever continuing clogging? Is the PTFE tube still smooth on the inside?
Usually I heat up the extruder and tell it to run backwards until the filament is out. The PTFE tube has to go all the way down into the heatbrake. Any gap can cause clogging.
