Is anyone using Gen3 Electronics on their Reprap?

Hey there!

Is anyone using Gen3 electronics on their Reprap? Motherboard v1.2, Extruder controller v2.2, Stepperdrivers 2.xx?

I've recently gotten back to my build, and the Reprap world seems to have moved to Gen6/7 mostly, but I already have my Gen3 electronics. I've spent the last month plus trying to get the firmware set-up. I keep running into what my best guess are buffer issues. I've been hashing those out in a number of different threads, the latest being here Forum Link

I know the firmware used to work as the Mendel ran fine with the firmware loaded to it by MakerBot (where I bought the boards). I changes it to calibrate the axis, and it no longer works.

What I'm looking for is someone who has working Gen3 electronics to send me their firmware so I can see where the issue is. It seems like changes have been made to the Reprap firmware that make it incompatible with the Gen3 electronics...

I think I'm in the same place you were, but I still can't get my Gen3 electronics to talk to any host software.

I've tried that code from the link but still no...Did that fully resolve it for you?

What host software are you using?

... i have Gen3 running with the host software, but it's for my repstrapped CNC-mill, so maybe not suitable for you ...

Changing the response size constant in the features.h works for me.

File: features.h, line 200:
Was: #define RESPONSE_SIZE 256

Should be: #define RESPONSE_SIZE 128

I am having similar issue with gen3 electronics: I just cannot make it work anymore, even with the hack from Anton. Have you found the cause of the problem?
