Looking for High quality gt2 pulleys

Hi fellows,

I am looking for high quality machined gt2 pulleys.
Reprapdiscount makes these but not in the size i need.

I am looking for 5mm bore, 20 teeth and 9 or 10mm width.

The ones i find are molded, of very low strength and poor resolution.

Does anyone have a good adress?

I was looking for similar pulleys some time ago and I didn't find any. I ended up downsizing the belts to 6mm.

I use two 608zz flanged bearings turned face to face, flanges to the outside. 8mm ID so I chop 8mm smooth rod for axles.
It fits my 9mm belts just fine, plenty of room for 10mm as well.
The diameter that the belt runs on is 22mm, and won't fit everyone's design, but I built the rest of the printer so it was easy for me to do.

Yes, I use dual 9mm belts on my Y bed.

Another thing to be specific about is to check out if the pulley is still mounted concentric (is this the right word?) when the grub screws are tightened.

I've noticed that a lot of pulleys tend to pull out of center when they are tightened. This is due to both high tolerance center bore and due to poor material used causing the pulley to deform/flex under stress because either the material was low quality aluminium or they used too thin stock and there isn't enough material around the pulley to maintain shape.

Also, I've once bought a couple of really nice pulleys with steel inserts in the core. These were performing noticeably more concentric and didn't deform at all. I don't know where I bought them anymore since it was by the end of 2013 but it might be worth looking for such pulleys.

Hah, that will teach to me to respond so late in my day..

I get top quality toothed drive pulleys from RobotDigg. Nicely made from brass, not aluminum. 9mm width.

Shipping isn't free, but you get them in a week, not a month.

This on amazon [www.amazon.co.uk]
Not 5mm bore but 6.35mm. Although not stated, the pulleys in the photos look to be metal.

Edit: Whoops, this just appeared from somewhere [amberspyglass.co.uk]
