Snappy Help
February 02, 2020 05:56PM
Hi, new to the forum. My son is building the snappy rep rap, he has it all printed and put together and everything is ready. We are running into a problem trying to get marlin software to compile. We just keep getting error codes and it won't finish. I am new to all of this and not sure where to turn next, we just followed the links off of wiki. If anyone could help point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

I Downloaded this "Marlin-snappy-1.1.x" an found this which is the same with more information "snappy-reprap-snappy_3.0.3"

They both compile with these results using Arduino 1.8.8 Mega 2560 and AVRISP mkll programmer
Sketch uses 107744 bytes (42%) of program storage space. Maximum is 253952 bytes.
Global variables use 3407 bytes (41%) of dynamic memory, leaving 4785 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 8192 bytes.

They include compiled Hex code files to directly upload to controller.

Marlin.ino.with_bootloader.mega.hex
and
MarlinRampsNoLCDNoHBP.hex
MarlinRampsRRDFullGraphicSmartCntrlrNoHBP.hex

Be sure to use the newest Arduino compiler/IDE otherwise lots of weird library errors are likely to occur.

Will do, we haven't been home last couple of days to give it a try. No one has a link to video for this by chance do they? I found a ton of videos on building the snappy but nvere anything for the software part of the build.
