New and Building a Prusa reprap
June 28, 2011 09:50PM
Hello All,
I am an Architect Student and I am building a Prusa. I am documenting this and putting it up on YouTube for my class/department. Of course since this is my first build and new to this my videos will not be professional quality.
Any pointers as I build will be MUCH appreciated.

One thing I am suck on is the hot end, I would like to buy a V6 hot end but I do not see any stores that carry them or that are even open. They look neater and the heads can be switched.
Thank you all

OK so 4th of July weekend was busy for me but now I edited the next videos. I received my RAMPS and motors this week from UltiMachine and they gave me some red and blue filament for free. tongue sticking out smiley I do not know if it is PLA or ABS.

Mendel parts in Holland do hotend V6, I'm running one of there V5's and its fine, I had it shipped to New Zealand because there are no suppliers here

Mendel-parts.com is closed for new orders at the moment so it looks like I will have to order V5 from some where.

Makergear hot ends seem to be very popular, that's what I ordered for my Prusa.
