very new to 3D printing and just completing a P3Steel build.
I would like to upgrade the extruder, it is currently a direct drive, printed parts extruder.
I don't want to "tinker" with, or "modify", etc the extruder/hot end, I would prefer to purchase one that is all metal and is ready to go (mount, fans, etc).
Why is a good quality geared all metal extruder to use with PLA, ABS, flex? Fans, fans, fans?? I see a lot of heavily modded extruders/hot ends, with multiple fans on the extruder AND directed at the bed ? are the ones directed at the bed necessary?
Like I said, looking for a hassle free extruder/hot end/fan set up in metal.
While I am at it, a metal X-carriage to match the metal extruder.
Anyone have any ideas ?
