Automatic XYZ calibration on a Prusa Clone?
December 07, 2019 06:14AM
Hi, I am currently building an Prusa I3 copy. And I bought an used original Mk2 bed. Is it possible to get the Automatic XYZ calibration and what hardware do i need? Also i am planning to use a duet 3d board, can I do it with RepRap firmware or do i have t use marlin for that feature? Any suggestions for Z-Probes ?

Please stop calling its a prusa I3

Its is a Prusa i3 MK2 clone

the mk2 or mk2s or mk3 or mk3s is critically important if you expect sane answers

You need a pinda probe... available on aliexpress. Preferably a pinda2 probe as it has temperature compensation.
It need to be this small to fit inside the registration marks on the heated bed

As for firmware you need prusa firmware on a mega2560 based machine... no one has yet ported this to any other firmwares (that i'm aware of)
