Prusa i3 stops when hitting end stop, motors respond not well

Hey all,

I'm building a Prusa i3 Rework and encounter a few problems with it.
I hope someone can help me with it spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I'm building the i3 with a Minitronics mainboard.

When i've connected the board to my computer and connect with Pronterface, the motor's don't respond immediatly.
When i press left (doesn't matter wich carriage) it does nothing, when i press right it moves.
This is everytime the printer is connected, with every carriage.
I've installed a new firmware but it doesn't solve the problem.
Also, when the motor's respond, it doesn't move the amount I tell it to.
It seems as the motor has a maximum it can move, like there is already a end stop in the motor confused smiley

I also have a Solidoodle 2, but the mainboard has become faulty, so i can't use the Z-axis anymore.
The mainboard is to expensive to replace (225 Euro's is a bit too much).
Everything else works, so i can test the motor's and they all respond perfectly when connected.

Also, when I can move a carriage and it hits a end stop, I hear a USB disconnect sound coming from my pc and Pronterface disconnects.
I use only the microswitch end stop, not the opto end stop.
The error i get everytime is:

Connecting...
start
Printer is now online.

Disconnected.

After that the LED's on the mainboard are off and won't turn on, only when i remove the power and USB cable.

I really don't know what the problem is.
Is it a motherboard issue, is it a connection problem, is the firmware faulty?

You sure have the endstops wired incorrectly, causing a shortcut!

Have you seen this?
