This offer sounds too good to be true

I choose DHL as well and got a China post tracking number ending in 2952CN, not visible on the tracking site either.
Looks like it may be fake and when you start a dispute to get the 15$ off (I got that offer as well) they complete the transaction and take your cash.
If they can do that then this is a giant big loophole in the Aliexpress buyer protection!

With hundreds of orders, and people eager to save even those 15$, a lot of people will be scammed...

So best willbe to keep waiting for further progress, and probably finally open a dispute before end of the buyer protection, 38 days to go...

@ Carlo: I did it, if the payment happens trough Alipay, you should be protected IF YOU DON'T ACCEPT their proposal for refund or other "dispute resolution" in any way.

OK, End of the dream....I hope who ordered (without accepting the partial 15$ refund) can receive the printer kit.
I do not want loose my time in disputing and risks to lose money.
Anyway....damn..., it was a bargain eye rolling smiley

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you accept their $15 offer, your order status automatically goes to a completed transaction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I just got screwed! Now I have to fight directly with Aliexpress and Alibaba. Too good to be true. Don't take the money!

So if I got this offer I would only take it after receiving/ shipping. I hope that AliExpress soon will get my money so that this is not a reason for the seller to step back.

It's a case of buyer beware, for sure. The company has only been in business since 29 September so they are in it to make a few bucks and then run from the Chinese police. Oh well, that's fifty bucks I would have blown on something else. Live and learn.

But did they marked the package as shipped before? Maybe you still get the package and everything is gonna be good.

More bad news for those patiently waiting >>> Just had a chat session with Aliexpress and they said that the tracking numbers are bogus! It gives the 'seller' 10 to 20 days more to scam people before they realize that they can't track their package.
They said that they will escalate the complaint and alert Aliexpress people to the scam. I tried to tell them that Aliexpress is getting a very bad name in the world and they need to fix this flaw in their system that closes the transaction after just one dispute. We shall see.

My tracking ID changed once and is not working, of course, I got a message that the goods were sent from Brazil and they will offer me a refund tomorrow but I have limited time to accept the refund. I asked them that I will not accept any refund until the goods have arrived because I do not want to risk the buyer'S protection. Can I say now "check"?

Is there anywhere in that correspondence where that seller is mentioned by name so that I can use it in my correspondence with AliExpress to try to get my money back eventhough I fell for those 'unsafe trading activities'?

No the seller is not mentioned, only my ordernumber.
The seller was: Shenzhen Co.,Ltd [www.aliexpress.com]
They took the whole store down, that store URL now points to a non-existant page..
But the name and the storenumber (1936246) should help you put in a claim.

Thanks,
I've already filed an unfair trade practice claim with AE, which is probably what triggered this shutdown, but I wanted to update the complaint with this new information. Unfortunately, they won't let you add to your original complaint or open an additional complaint against the same order. sad smiley

Actually yesterday evening I decided it would be better to notify AE upon the seller's "kind communication" plus the whole situation, so maybe as several queries were directing to the same scam, they decided to take the only way out.

@tjnamtiw: Referring to the frozen orders, they say
"Just a kind reminder, if the seller doesn't pass the verification, your order will be cancelled automatically with refund to you. You don't need to cancel order in this situation."

So if they find the seller clearly scamming, the whole order should be cancelled automatically for every customer, and I would expect a full refund to take place, independently of previous partial refunds...

Check your AE "my orders" view, if the order is still there and shown as frozen, hopefully you'll be safe already.

Thanks AWI. Strength in numbers wins! No, it's not frozen yet. Might have to go the credit card abuse route but my claim to Aliexpress is still open so who knows. At least we got this SOB out of business until he surfaces under another name. I see the exact same pictures are already up on other stores so it really makes you not trust ANY of them. It's ashamed because I always had good success with Aliexpress for electronics.

Alibaba only says, that all pending orders are frozen, not the ones who accepted the 15$ refund.

BTW.: Other online platforms allow several claims per order....

The seller was rude to me as I told him that I will not accept the refund until the goods would have been arrived. I should soon accept it otherwise his offer would be over. BTW He only mailed me and I had no button to accept his offer.

For the others I really hope that they will get the money back. At the moment Ali is only checking if the offer is true or false, If they come to the conclusion that this is a fake offer and refund us they hopefully refund the others but I doubt it. In my case Ali holds my money so they have no money lost. In the other cases they probably paid the seller already and I do not think they can get back the money.

I'm one of those idiots who fell for the scam and got my $15. I just received the 'judgement' from Aliexpress that my filing for unfair trade practices by the seller was denied. So I wrote them another complaint with more information including their response letter to those of you who didn't fall for the $15 scam. I have time because I have to wait before filing with my credit card company that I never received the goods.

Live and learn.

A bit off topic, but related to aliexpress.

It seems aliexpress is checking there sellers. I got an order frozen from another seller WinFurther Trading Co., Ltd I already got the tracking number and it seems to be working. Lets see how that turns out. Only 20 euro order, so not to concerned.

This is now on the Aliexpress home page:
From now on, all orders that were placed after June 25th will receive an extra Buyer Protection time of 15 days after order completion!
So it looks like there is hope for those who fell for the 15$ offer!

Nope, just spent 'quality time' with a Chinaman posing as an American who told me that it only applies to orders completed automatically and not manually. If you hit the 'accept offer' button, that's manual and you're screwed. What a great system! They fully understand the seller was a criminal and that I got screwed by him but they could care less IMHO.

I think the best way would be if you only can accept refunds after the transaction is over by pressing "goods received" or automatically after the time period. Another good method could be that you first have to open a dispute before the seller can give you a refund.

At least I do not understand why AliExpress only allows one dispute. For example you open one because the seller did not sends the goods and what can you do if you cannot receive the goods afterwards?
