Football shaped circles??? American footballs..

I'm getting tiny points on 2 opposing corners of my circles on my Folgertech Prusa v3. As the X axis movement transitions to the Y axis movement, it seems to make a slight pointed corner instead of a smooth transition and curve. Any thoughts? Belts seem tight, but I have no reference to determine if they are loose. Thoughts..

Usually, out of round circles can be a loose belt problem, but yours sounds like it might be a model problem.

I would start by measuring the "football". it can tell you a lot.

if the football has exact proportions, like 2:1 or 4:1 then you probably have a firmware issue (check your steps/mm), or you have a jumper under one of the stepper-drivers out of place, either never installed, or loose.

if you have a ratio like 2:3.23 or some other ugly ratio, then you probably have a hardware issue, stretched belts, or something like that.

i had a similar problem, with me it were the jumpers who were missing under a stepper driver.

2 screws beneath print bed had loosened......circles work now, but thanks for the input..
