Plans/Printed Parts for steel rod frame?

Are there any plans and printed parts to make a steel rod frame for a prusa I3?
I don't have access to anyone with a cnc to make a frame and the prices on ebay are huge, I do however have access to very cheap smooth and threaded rods (M8/M10)

I have seen pictures of these before but I can't seem to find any plans or parts.

Ah, interesting.
I've only ever looked at I3's as with them being a newer version, I assumed it was better.

Is there much difference in print quality and reliability between the two?
i'm running an I3 atm, but I want to build a backup.

I'm also using an i3. I own a FolgerTech Prusa i3 with a 6mm plexi frame, which can easily lose the perpendicular relationship between the Y and Z axes. to illustrate this, just grab the top of your frame and note how easily it moves backward and forward without the base leaving the table... The i2 is MUCH more reliable in this regard, but isn't as light due to the extensive use of threaded rod. Otherwise, it is very similar to the i3, in terms of performance. Take a look at my printer in the links below!
