Hi good people of internet,
after a tons of research i've decided to build my own 3D printer. Since I have access to water jet, a laser cutter and CNC, a good stiff frame should not be a problem. I would like to build a printer with quality parts and learn something, so that's why I'm not interested in cheap China kits, but to spend a 1000-1500€ is a little too much for me right now.
I was looking into a
i3 Berlin. Really like the design, dual extruder... But, BOM is incomplete, not all printable parts are in there, some parts are undefined... Is it worth or should I make a Prusa i3 Rework? If somebody built a Berlin from zero, not from a kit, please let's get in touch.
Or maybe any idea about a closed case model? (benefits of heating, noise reduction etc.)
What do you suggest for electronics? Rumba, ramps, melzi?
Thank you.
