Basics of setting up ramps 1.4/marlin/full graphics LCD
April 23, 2016 02:14PM
I am completing my P3 steel build (1st printer build)
I have a Ramp 1.4/Marlin with the full size LCD.
Everything powers up fine and I can make things move with the commands in the menu/rotary knob,, but that's were it ends.

I have NO idea what to do next, I have searched out on the net and found no guide that assumes I know nothing smiling smiley

When I nit the "home command" the X carriage goes all the way to the right and crashes,, I have no idea if left or right would be home??

Thanks for any guidance,

Nick

Home is where the endstops are. For a typical I3, it should be thus: X all the way to the left, Y all the way back, and Z all the way down; each until it hit's its respective endstop.

Flip the X cable going to the RAMPS board.
or change the direction in configuration.h

#define INVERT_X_DIR false

set to true

You have probably fingered this out already.
