X-Axis skipping during long prints
May 11, 2016 08:39AM
Hello, I recently got my printer not to long ago, I have been printing so many small things, without problem, but then I started printing larger projects which take 10-13 hours. Once the project gets around the three hour mark the x axis seems to shift a bit to the right around four lines, ending in a destroyed print. I have no idea how to even fix this.

I am running the Folger Tech Prusa i3 Acrylic Kit.

At first it was the pully, it had jammed, so I printed a new one and it fixed the jamming problem, and even after the most recent print axis skip it wasn't jammed.

I do notice resistance when I try to move the axis manually, not a whole lot but some. I have noticed that the x axis stepper gets quite hot, almost to hot to touch. All of my stepper boards have heat sinks installed, per included in my kit.

Thanks a lot,
Jason
