Extruder Stepper Vibration

Hello All,

I am new to both this forum and the 3D printing world. I recently purchased the HICTOP Prusa i3 Autoleveling bed kit from Amazon and got it up and running in no time. Everything was working great for a couple of days and then I tried to tackle an extended print session. I started the 10 hour print before I went to bed and when I woke the next morning there was a loud but intermittent vibration coming from the printer. I believe it to to be the extruder motor as the printer commonly moves through the X,Y smoothly and silently, the Z motors are not turning during the sound and the vibration feels the worst when touching the extruder motor (compared to the others) during the sound. I calibrated the motor controller Voltages as per the videos that came with the printer but am still having this issue. Other than the horrible noise, the printer is still working great. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this is occurring or how to fix it?

I was just playing with a stepper motor and noticed it will vibrate quite a lot when turned slowly.
I'm thinking about buying a damping pad between the motor and extruder/cold end.

Or maybe buy a geared motor, so the motor itself can turn faster?

I was doing some more reading and came across an article that suggested my feed rate may be too fast. I turned the feed rate down to 95% and the sound/vibration is DRASTICALLY REDUCED. I'll play a little more with this theory and repost my results.

I've been able to pin point the cause of this issue. The vibration comes from the extruder motor only if the heated bed is on during the print. Under powered supply...
