anet a8 stuck in dry run mode

hello. got a anet a8 prusa i3 3d printer off of ebay. built it, printed the test got everything working great. I go to use it the next day and the hot bed nor extruder heat up, when I start the unit the temp flashes on and the lcd says def. when I go to switch it out of dry run it immediately goes back to dry run mode. and when I go to preheat extruder nothing happens light doesn't come on etc. any suggestions?

Having same problem - suspect firmware. Can anyone help?

check your thermistors/thrmocouple are showing room temp

It was a bad thermistor in the hotbed. These thermistor ends are very fragile and can be easily damaged, possible during leveling or even during a speedy print. On the bright side a pack of 6 pre wired were 8 bucks shipped. Not a firmware problem or anything else just a dollar part! After having the machiene awhile now I suggest spending 20-30 in spare parts i.e. Pack of thermistors, nozzles, hotbed, and the block the nozzle mounts to with the filament guide. If you have this problem right away and bought off of eBay bitch up a storm! I did and got a 50% refund!
