Knob on 2004 LCD board how to remove

I'm trying to get this knob off of the switch so I can put a case around the LCD board. Knob won't budge. Must come off so I can add the case and then put the knob back in place. Hole in case requires removal of this knob...thanks.

57 views....not one response. I drilled out the hole on the case. Never did get the knob off the board....

No image...

I never seen a 2004 lcd shipped with a knob

Google shows some examples... small alu knob.. I suspect this is not removable

i have seen some knobs that have a flip off cap and a screw underneath the cap,
Otherwise try warming the knob with a hair dryer and gently levering it with a flat blade screwdriver.

umm, unless it has a screw under the top cap, or it has a screw at the side.

It just pulls off. smiling smiley

I know it might seem a stupid, but unless it has a screw locking it in place -> it will just pull.

EDIT: Unless someone glued in place? grinning smiley
