Anet A8 Firmware upgrade question

Hi all,
I was checking the extruder calibration and found that it is slightly under extruding. I connected repetier host and of course they way the Anet firmware is labelled the way it is the "Firmware EEPROM Configuration" is greyed out.
If I flash the firmware with the newest version of Marlin, will I then have access to be able to change the configuration?
I don't want to flash it if I still won't have access.

Marlin now has anet a8 configs.

Op, yes marlin will allow eeprom settings. However, have you tried changing the extrusion rate in your slicer first? My anet a8's would over extrude in stock form. Even in marlin I set my slicer extrusion multiplier lower than 100%.
