Help with Firmware download for GT2560

Hello all I am having trouble downloading firmware well the download is fine it's what happens when I try to verify it. I am using Arduino 1.8.1 and try to verify "Marlin-PI3_Pro_X2" after I try I get This error "exit status 1 using typedef-name 'fpos_t' after 'struct' "nting
I do not understand this as I downloaded it and did not edit it in any way. I do not know how to code., and I had did a firmware download about two years ago and had no problems. But the GT2560 board had stopped working and replaced with a new one. But it will not function with out the firmware. Any help would be welcome. I have been 3d printing for about two years and love it I have over 400 designs on thing-averse. I miss it please help.

This seems to be an older version of marlin, the geeetech site recomends using arduino 1.0.1 to compile it.

I will go and try that now I knew I had downloaded that file before and had no problems. That make's sense to me now. Thanks, I'll let you know how I made out.

just note that that the older firmware is crap, and is missing many current safety features.

Upgrade to a current version ASAP

That is why I was using Arduino 1.8.1. Is their firmware that I can use that has these current safety features that will work with the GT2560 ? If so can you direct me to it?

You can download the latest version of marlin Marlin

or try Repetier firmware repetier online config tool

Both should work ok.
