heated bed heats indefinitely

While using manual control the heated bed and extruder heat only to the temperature I tell them to. After slicing an object and hitting print, the bed heats up to the desired temp, 55 c, and just keeps going past till I get an error message around 115 degrees.

It does not matter if I type in a different value for the bed temp or use the temp slider to change it, the bed continues to heat.

My setup: Prusa i3, Repetier host, Arduino Mega w/ ramps

Did you check the MOSfet area on RAMPS for bad solder jobs and the like?

What if you pause the print, change temp, wait and resume?

M190 S115 ; set bed temperature and wait for it to be reached

This is trying to heat the bed to 115 C and is probably timing out, giving the error.
