Hi I am upgrading the heat bed to I believe MK3, The one with the aluminium base, probably a dumb question but which is the correct way up, the heater side up or down. Thanks

The other way around unless you are in Australia, NZ ...

The heated side down. Make sure the bed-levelling springs don't cause electrical shortcuts. Maybe use Nylon washers.
