The power supply has packed it in, would a 12.5 amp be suitable as a replacement.
The hotbed is on a separate 24v supply.
So the 12v 12.5 amp supply will only supply the control board and the hotend and motors.

Lets look and see.

40 watt Nozzle heater is 3.33 amps
If 4 Steppers motors drivers ~ 2 amps each is = 8 amps max.
leaving ~ 1.17 amps for the LCD and all other components.
If 5 Stepper motors no.

Now if the Steppers are 1.5amps then 4 steppers would be = 6 amps that would leave you ~ 3.17 amps for the LCD and all other components.

This could work.

The stepper motors are driven through constant current switching drivers, so the stepper motors will take far less than 2A each from the PSU. More like 0.5A each tops. So 12.5A is easily enough capacity.

Thanks to both of you for replying to this topic, probably the best idea is to try it and see what happens.
