Anycubic Kobra 3 Combo

Purchased a couple of Anycubic Kobra 3 combos the other day they will be arriving soon.
This will allow me to print using two 4 color printers or one mono printer and one 8 color printer if desired..

Will keep my Hictops 3DP11/12's for Now though my nephew will receive one for his uses.
My Home brew CoreXY Hictop will be repurposed into a CNC. May try to use it for both wood and Aluminum modeling.

My remaining Hictop's may be refitted given Different hot-ends have already given one a Flexible spring steel bed surface.
Don't know how long hotbeds last, they have worked 9 years, not bad for 1-2 hundred dollar 2nd hand Printers.
And for a couple years they were running 24/7. They are still fairly level this is the reason for Spring steel bed surfaces.
Trying to get the longest life I can out of them. Though when they have made their final 3D Print I will know.

My newest 3D Printers will out print the old ones by far, may not even need the old ones. May purchase another new one.
Soon I will be able to print even more, mono or colored at a faster pace.

Well I made some progress I printed some smaller two color Dino Clips

I have been having about as many problems as I can stand right now.
First I break the Filament inside the PTFE feeder tubes getting caught in the the filament adapter four colors in on color out.
This leads the the filament crashing into each other if you are a newbie like me an have no ideal what to and not to do.

Then I have the filament not wanting to stick to the textured sprint steel smooth high temp bed.
Or
It sticks too well I I can not get it to release easily.

Have destroyed to smooth beds, not to worry I placed a PEI sheet over the bed so I can 3D Print on a normal PEI bed from time to time.
This in its self leads to another problem the filament need to be hot enough to stick to the bed and the bed needs to be hot enough,
to allow the heated filament to stick to it, this caused the bed surface to release from the smooth bed causing layer deterioration.

Could use some help after the holidays. unless you have a few moments you can space.

Oh! If any one has this 3D Printer AnyCubic Kobra 3 Combo the waste can be reduced by 60% if you know where to go.

Watch this video on reduce 3d filament waste I left mine on 0.4

Printed this Jackalope without supports, Why! because I wanted to see just how well it could handle the extreme overhangs.

Yesterday
Well thought is would work simply because Orca Slicer 2.3.0 RC lists AnuCubic Kobra 3 in compatible Printers lists.

I guess in a way it does work because it will print a mono print though not a multiple color model.
OK back to looking for a better slicer for my Anycubic Kobra 3 combo.

OK today I tried again by placing 3 different color models on the same build plate. the results were great.
I printed 3 completely different color model gears of spiral graph on the same build plate at the same time..

So my thanks to Orca Slicer 2.3.0 RC for finding a way to get Kobra 3 combo printing in color..

now maybe I can figure a way to get it to print using my painted objects.
I do not believe that posting a Photo does any good just try to print as I have stated an you will see.

I swear I did a color print using Prusa slicer but could never could duplicate, now I will try duplicating this again.
Using this same method of printing 3 Separate color models on the same build plate.

Here we have a Painted object shown in the photo below.

If the Painted is in Object mode then they will have a place to select/change the filament.

Painted Object

Else if they do not have, then the filament will not change in this global mode.

Hi

I have been looking for a users manual for Orca Slicer 2.3.0 or anything even close as to allow me to use the full potential of slicers.
Would be happy to see this in any form pdf, you-tube videos just would like to learn everything that can be done with this slicer.

I found a work around.

If you load your model into Bambu Studio create all the Painted surfaces and save to 3MF file
Reload model into Orca Slicer 2.3.0-RC change to your Kobra 3 and filament profiles slice and save to USB flash drive then print with Kobra 3.

After Many months accidentally upgraded my Anycubic 3 Kobra firmware today.
Will have to wait till prints finishes to ascertain my current firmware version.

It appears to be working correctly so glad this is over and done with.

3D Printing more of the Dino bag clips, and a someone that would like a few.
I have the speed set high enough that a clip only takes about an hour to successfully prints in lieu of the 3 1/2 hours

My room is still so messy that I can barely see the floor let alone the 3D Printer desk.
Though it is time that I get started back to my favorite hobby.

My Bowden Ptfe tubing got all messed up so I had to fix the tubing by cutting the crinkled ends to get tubes to stay in the Bowden clips.
Forgot how much fun it was to 3D Print!!!
