I've updated my board to RepRapFirmware-1.09r-dc42.bin but now the web interface is all but useless so I'm guessing I need to update my config file, however can't find one allocated for this firmware. Would someone be able to link me to an SD image for this firmware on a fisher?

Sounds like you need to update the files in your SD card /www folder to DuetWebControl 1.08. Get them from chrishamm's github repo, or from the SD Image folder in my github repo where you downloaded the firmware. There should be no need to update config.g or other files on /sys.
