Duet 0.6 and hot end fan

Hi,
New to this, I have built and commisioned a Reprap Fisher with Duet 0.6 electronics, I think I originally wired the fan reverse polarity, after correcting the wires still doesn't work. Anybody have any idea if just the fan or the duet board will have blown too.

When i set the fan from the web interface the Fan led comes on, is this actually the fan i should be looking at. Is it work putting a scope on the output from the duet, I assume if it is PWM I should see a 19v square wave with mark space ratio changing as I increase setting on web.

Will operating the mosfet in open circuit damage it.

Any pointers would be appreciated

It's probably just the fan that has failed. Operating the MOSFET open circuit won't damage it.

Thanks for the reply, I was just worried the fan may have failed short which might damage the board.
