e3d effector

i found this one [www.thingiverse.com]

problem is that it does not say how to hold the e3d in place

and the onshape link does not include a fan duct, i exported from onshape to step file so i could import it in fusion360

and the files on thingiverse have the fan duct and base combined so i longer longer can mill MDF and bolt on the duct


are there other know effectors for the e3dv6 ?

I am not a 100% sure but judging by the images it looks as if the E3D is held in place with a tie-rip. I am not sure how this is a safe way of holding a hotend, but hey, I guess you really gotta ask the maker personally as the only thing we can do is assume as much as you winking smiley

i gave up on it

the more i assembled it in fusion short commings became clear, the mdf sheet needs rework to fit, the part cooling duct also need changes

its better to stick with the stock hotend
