Newbie build in Wellington

Thanks to people on this forum for parts so far in my first time build. Dusts plastics, Nelsons rods, Viks filament. Shame the rest is so slow from the states. I'm sure there would be a welcome for a NZ supplier.

Thanks, but have just received my RAMPS bits from Ultimachine.
Has anyone tried J Head resistor hot end?
Seems like a more reliable setup than the Nichrome wire

Using a resister as a heater is just abusing the electronics, nichrome is designed to be a heater.

That being said, resister hot end do seem to work, though Ive heard of a few burning out...
