Anyone interested on some ramps 1.3 and 1.4 board ?

I don't know much about, these what does it cost to populate them? Do they have SD card support?

I havent tried 1.4 yet as this will be my first attempt on surface mounted components, as for the 1.3, i used components left over from the sanguino build + the resettable fuses , i had a spare arduino 1280. . i was thinking to sell these in kits, see how organized i am these coming weeks to source components . .both of these support sd card and lcd like[url=http://reprap.org/wiki/RAMPS_1.3/1.4_GADGETS3D_Shield_with_Panel]gadets3d[/url] . .

I managed to build the 1.3 board using leftover stuff from previous builds . .also modified the gadgets 3d shield to "fit" onto the ramps 1.3 board . .testing tommorow on fuctionality . .

Anyone interested in some sd ramps / sdsl boards watch this space . .

I had a chance do some soldering on ramps 1.4 over the weekend . .all smd components, headers , jumpers and pins done . . Soldering surface mounted components wasn't that bad as i thought it would be . .a good pair of tweezer and some flux should do the trick for anyone hand soldering the SMC on this board . .'will try to use a heat gun on the SMC in my next build . .see how that goes . . .

I've part assembled one 1.4 ramps (two more to go). The surface mount resistors wern't too bad. Hardest was the leds as the ones I had weren't proper surface mount and I had to tuck the leads under. Proper LEDs now on order from RS. Capacitators etc. all done as are all the headers. Still sourcing the polulu sockets and mosfets plus 11 amp polyfuse. Jaycar had the 5 amp ones. The next builds I think I will attempt to flow solder he lot in one go! Could be interesting.

Cool . .i use 5a and a 9a polyfuse .. .9a coz its what i had from my previous 1.3 build which worked for me . . The male headers on aux 4 is to accomodated the lcd shield from gadgets3d . .testing tommorow when i have a bit more time . . .

So was thingking about the power in and power out connectors on the ramps boards . .i used t connectors for my sanguino and it worked well . .i'll do the same for next ramps build. . Will it handle the power out load of the heated bed and extruder .. .or the power in ?? Stay tuned . .

An alternative power in option for ramps board . .ramps 1.4 was used here . .

Those XT60 connectors are great, I use them on my RC models too.

I agree, its a great connector for that purpose too . .I use the xt60 for Boards power in and use and t connectors for hot end and heat bed power in . .so far works like a charm. .
