I have come across this wee, wonderful board called the Beagle Bone Black (BBB).. its a nifty little board packed with a AM3359 1GHz ARMĀ® Cortex-A8, prized at $45 USD (57.77NZD on the current forex).

like the arduino boards, which have shields, this nifty little board has what they call capes.

A lot of cool projects for the DIY -ers, hackers..etc. ect.

I am very new to the dev side of the board and would like to see if anyone local in NZ has tried or used these boards before.

upon my quest of knowledge and some insight on how to use the BBB, which i was not surprized to find, was a cape which would be fitting. well, more research i guess....

If there was a ramps type cape it might be a goer, but what is it doing that the arduino isn't already doing other than the ethernet?
