Hey people

I keep having some problems with my print only seems to happen on some prints and gears no matter what gears be they thingiverse files or prusa originals

Using sprinter firmware and slic3r

Ramps 1.4

Happens on all different infill settings

3 perimeters 3 layers top and bottom

Solid objects like extruder bodies etc come out fine any help appreciated

Thanks to wired1 as built his OB1 prism excellent build far better than my mendel v2

You need to use less outlines to leave room for the infill. I use single outlines for gears.

Just tried with 1 perimeter and it did zero fill for the teeth centre of gear was perfect but teeth were an empty ring on the outside???

Is this "Thing:19277"?
I had a look at that one and sliced it with 0.99 then checked it with the Repetier G-code viewer and 1st layer looks ok. Did you check it to see what you get in the viewer?

I suspect you meant Thing:19227 rather than Thing:19277?
(Just in case someone else wanted to look it up)

Yes that's the one

Did a bit of reading around and did read that 0.9.10b has a few bugs so cleaned out all slicer files downloaded 0.7.2b (read it was a stable version) and printed again was very near perfect so not sure if its that version or if I had corrupt file will have to experiment some more to see

Your gears layer thick are too big. Try to reduce it .
