Problems with autolevel
February 11, 2017 05:27PM
My autoleveling seems a bit off and can't get it to function correctly.

I tried raising the matrix to 5x5 but same result.

After a G29 if I go to X200 Y200 Z0 I have a .2 gap between nozle and bed.
If I then go to X10 Y10 Z0 the nozzle is touching the bed.

I see the Z axis compensating during the move, but something isn't working like it should sad smiley
I tried both linear and bi-linear levelling, both are off, but bi-linear are not quite as much off as linear (but still too much off to be useful)

I'm on RC8
What can I do to make it work like it was supposed?
I've been using most of today Googling for a solution, to no success.
I have never had it working reliably for the month I've been having autolevel sensor attached to my printer.

Hello Morten,
I am also using RC8 and have been trying to get my inductive probe to work with auto bed leveling for some time now, unfortunately without success. I have had better luck with enabling MESH_BED_LEVELING and disabling the AUTO options. MANUAL bed leveling creates other small annoying issues, but nothing that keeps you from printing. However, you have to probe the points manually and do the 'paper wiggle under the nozzle dance', of course.
Just today I tried an AUTO option again, and found that the Z axis moves to Z max when attempting an X or Y home. Had to shut down before there was damage.

Sorry, I know that was not very helpful, but maybe someone can chime in and help us both.

I'm also having some problems with auto bed leveling and RC8. Did you solve your problem?

No, not yet sad smiley
