Problem with LCD on Mini-Rambo
March 18, 2018 09:39AM
I'm trying to configure a display with an SD adapter connected to my Mini-Rambo board, but I still see only two rows of squares on it. I don't really know what is the correct type of my display (I bought it on eBay, it was described as "New 2004 LCD Display 3D Printer Controller"), so I tried to enable different options in the Marlin config: ULTIMAKERCONTROLLER, ULTIPANEL, PANEL_ONE, REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER, G3D_PANEL... But I have still the same results - only backlight is working. Any advice? According to my connections: Display port 1 is connected to AUX1, display port 2 to AUX on the board.

Make sure your cables are connected as in the linked image.

From your pics, the display type you have is a
#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER

this should be the only line you need to enable

PS. Some ppl have said they needed to cut the keyways off the display connectors in order to reverse them in the sockets
