Marlin 2.0 bugfix setup question
May 28, 2018 12:34PM
Hey Guys!

I followed the instructions in this page to install marlin on MKS SBASE and I am having a slight issue.
[marlinfw.org]

I am able to generate the .BIN file. But once I reboot the board, only .CUR file is being generated, the eprom.dat is not there. I am using ATOM on MacOS EL Capitan. Also, am not able to connect to the board once I do that.

The board itself is good, I was running smoothie earlier without any issues.

Any idea what I am doing wrong ?

I am having the same issue. Maybe it is supposed to be that way?

It is meant to be that way, the board is still using the smoothieware bootloader to install firmware from SD card.

.bin is a file that is not yet been flash to firmware
.cur is the version that has been flashed to firmware. (renamed from .bin to .cur after flashing)

not being able to connect to the board is a different issue...
did you set serial port to -1 ? (ie use inbuilt usb port)
