Problem tb6600 Marlin
November 17, 2018 04:42AM
Hi, guys I have a problem: I built my 3D printer and I used nema 23 for the X and Y axes and the drivers tb6600. The problem is that the engines seem to lose steps, I do not think the engines are to lose steps but I think they are the drivers to give problems ...
Here are the photos of some prints:

Has anyone had similar problems with these drivers?

Did you set your driver type in configuration.h? [github.com]

This adjusts the stepper driver timings

Thank you so much for answering, I d'not have this code in my marlin but I downloaded the new version (1.1.9) and set it up. Now the problem is even more serious ... these layers shift when the printer climbs layer, so it is sure that the nema do not lose steps ...
Here are some photos and myconfiguration.h

what current do you have set on the tb6600? and what are the specs of your stepper motors? have you matched these?

Since this is printing ok each layer, but suffering from layer shift, its either insufficient current or acceleration to high..

microstep 1/8, current 2.8A s and the engines work at 2.8A. The printing speed is set at 20mm / s and the accelerations in the marlin are set like this:

What board are you using?

If you are using ramps I would appreciate if you would upload the wiring.

Hi TonyFran,
this is the wiring:

I use a dvr8825 for each of the two motors of the z axis
(the y axis is equal to the x axis)

Thank you very much !
You saved me days.

The motor doesn't spin both ways.
If I send G1 x500 it spins
If I send G1 x5 (after x500) or G28 the board freeze. It's blocking and sends back "busy processing"

Hello all,

I've found a similar problem.
I built a cartesian printer and i have a TB6600 driving a Nema17 on Y-axis, with the first tests with 20mm cube i get "constant" shifting layers in Y direction. Photos.
little 10mm cube only for avoiding fall.

I've tried to minimize Y acceleration and Feedrate and i put YZ_skew_factor = 1 (little improve, photo 3 YZ_skew=0 and =1)

The taps of the cubes (2 first and last layers) with more shifting.

Erkaiden, have you found a solution?

Any help would be very appreciate.

Thanks,

Zoco

hi,

I have surrounded the problem flashing Marlin 1.1.8 in ramps 1.4 instead of Marlin bugfix-1.1.x.

inverting logic of driver TB6600 of Y axis didn't work for me (connections and setting in Marlin bugfix-1.1.x), i have the TB6600 in direct way working in 1.1.8.

Hey all!

My problem I described it in detail on githube. Did you manage to solve it?

External driver leadshine em705 transmits pulses. Is marlin compatible with digital driver?
I asked this question in the group facebook

X-axis offset occurs with the leadshine em705 driver.
[www.leadshine.com]
If you use drv8825 offsets are not.

What i use

Arduino DUE control board.
Digital driver leadshine em705 stepper motor.
marlin 2.0 firmware
What I changed to marlin.

1109 screeching. In the configuration_adv.h tab, I uncommented and entered the necessary values for my driver.

#define MINIMUM_STEPPER_DIR_DELAY 5000

#define MINIMUM_STEPPER_PULSE 10

#define MAXIMUM_STEPPER_RATE 200000

And it did not work.
Is marlin compatible with digital drivers?
How to properly configure the driver for marlin?

Really looking forward to your comment on this.

Hi

I have same problem on my printer. When i try to print 20x20 calibration cube, about 45 degree slope occurs. Im using nema 23 motors and tb6600 stepper. Did you guys find any solution about that?

Thanks
