Noob Question on Arduino

Noob Question on Arduino
November 22, 2020 05:46PM
When I try to load a Marlin file into Arduino in Windows all I get is the first "Marlin" Tab. The other tabs to the right (Config H, etc.) are missing. What am I doing wrong? Everything is there when I load into OS. Any help appreciated.

In order to load a Marlin file the folder must be labeled Marlin unless it was saved with a different folder Name than Marlin then the folder must have that folder name.

Thanks for the reply Roberts Clif. The folder is labeled Marlin. Please permit me to explain the steps taken and perhaps you can see something I did wrong.
1. Went to [github.com]
2. Downloaded the file and unzipped it. Opened the Marlin folder.
3. Scrolled down to Marlin INO and opened it.
4. File opened in Arduino but only with the "Marlin" tab showing. the other tabs to the right, including "Config H" are not there.

This only occurs in a Windows environment. I've tried 3 different PCs. Using these same steps, it opens fully in MAC OS Catalina and I am able to change settings in the Config H tab. Unfortunately, there are loading issues using the MAC ("bad CPU in executable" error message), which I am told is unique to MAC OS Catalina.
So, I have to be doing something wrong when loading into Windows.

Don't know what is going on, but for windows the only way forward is to use vscode and platformio.
Windows has to many limitations that make it nearly impossible compile marlin anymore. Marlin just got to big,

Have a read of [marlinfw.org]

OK I went to the link you posted.
Unzipped Marlin-Creality_DWINTest.zip
Went into the Marlin opened the Marlin.ino
Compiled using Arduino 1.8.8 IDE

Sketch uses 153270 bytes (60%)
Global variables use 6470 bytes (78%)

and Recieved a Low memory available, stability problems may occur.

Also noted this line "This branch has been replaced by CrealityDwin_2.0"
