Marlin Probing issues

Hi all,

First time postingsmiling smiley

I am having an issue with G29 probing after installing a 3dtouch to my printer (Geetech i3 pro b).

Every now and again the z axis will not go down to probe the bed, the probe just trys to measure anyway and then it fails out. I think i have had one successfull bed level since putting it on! Every other time it will move to the xy position and then the z axis does nothingsad smiley Sometimes its 3 or 4 probe points in before it stops..

I have put a vid of it happening here:
[drive.google.com]

Any ideas?

Im running Marlin 2.0.7.2 and have attached my configs

Any help would be much appreciated as this has me stumped at the moment?

Thanks all!

Post at the right place!

Telling the user this is the wrong place without specifying the correct location is not helpful.
I myself would have posted this question here the fact is I have a 3D Touch and because I do not know how to ( setup / configure / connect to controller) have left it in the box...
Plus have not had the ambition to start another project so where do you think we should post to be in the correct thread for this post.

Hi,

Checking your files I see you still need to configure BLTOUCH in the advance config file :

I don't know if it's what causing the problem though ...

The op didnt bother to search the forum. Now he will have to !
BTW you don't need a Btouch you need to build a proper machine
After that many years about time isn't?

Ha nice into to the forum, thanks MKSA!winking smiley

Thanks for moving it to the correct place!

Anyway for anyone with a similar problem, after debugging further i had a loose connection from the probe to the board, the connector i was using was loose on the pin!sad smiley All working now.

I have a CO2 and Shapeoko but this was my first foray into 3d printing so got the basic printer, cost about £100 and so far im impressed with the prints!! Benchy comes out pretty spot on.
