128x64 reprap discount smart controller does not work with mks tinybee
is there any way to solve this issue?

Maybe you need to rotate the EXP1 & EXP2 connectors 180 degrees.

MKS connectors are 180 degrees off from the RepRap connectors. Same pinout, just rotated.

Some people make special cables for this. Some people shave off the locator tab on the cable connectors. Personally I like to carefully pry the MKS housings up off the board, rotate them 180 degrees and then put them back on the board.

I carefully pry the shell off the back of the lcds, being the much cheaper component to replace if it goes wrong

Your using old code "#define CONFIGURATION_H_VERSION 02010000"

Firstly check your lcd and your controller gnds are connected.
Ie unplug from power and usb.
Check there is electrical conductivity from the on controller sd card slot metal can to the on lcd lcd slot metal can.
If these are not connected your LCD cables are not correct.

Note there are two cables you must plug Exp1 on motherboard into Exp1 on the LCD and Exp2 on motherboard into Exp2 on the LCD


Tested with bugfix 2.1.x (your configs, updated)
bugfix2.1.x-Configuration.zip

display works as expected.

Yes I tested on real hardware.

I used 12V/20A power supply I do not think It be low!

... check the 5V on the board and on the display - if it's not stable, then not enough current to start the display ...

Marlin can not cause your electronics to whine in protest like that

This is a hardware issue

Look harder at your electronics

Show a picture of the back of your LCD and cables and controller, I want to check you actually have exp1 going to exp1 and exp2 going to exp2
and to see what cable orientation you are using.

... this "whining" is the beeper ... ist it meant to give a beep while/prior to starting? ... could be part of the problem too ...

As a test please unplug cable exp2 and switch on

Does it still reboot?

LCD should will still display data like this and encoder button will work, but not encoder left/right

Did you do the motherboard sd card can to lcd sd card can continuity test like I asked?

Is it sill connected with exp2 disconnected? (it should be)

You get a multi meter

You turn it on.

You set the multi meter to continuity mode

You unplug the controller from power and USB. But have the LCD and Controller connected with EXP1 cable

You hold the black probe on the metal of the sd slot on the controller
You hold the red probe on the metal of the sd sot on the lcd

You read the meter. It should read close to zero and may even beep.

I have no answers for this...

I would need to have these in front of me... to do some testing of my known good LCD on your boards.

And trace out some pins on that LCD, make sure it really is REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER... since its not written on it...

yes It is REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER because on ramps works fine

How can I be sure It is a hardware issue or not?because I have 2 mks tiny boards with same problem!

For ramps it comes with converter board... I wonder if its unique for that display ?

Take a look at [reprap.org]
This is the stock converter for ramps.
