What adjustments will stop flaring at corners
December 24, 2022 11:06AM
I have an ender 3 S1 Pro. I have carefully adjusted the x,y, and z axis mechanically and all the steps.

What firmware adjustments might help reduce the corner flaring that I am getting?

You need to be looking at your slicer settings for this.

There are calibration suites that can be used to tune things like acceleration and feedrates.

I'm not sure what a calibration suite is. Can you point me to an example? Also, I thought things like acceleration were set in Marlin Firmware, not the slicer.

I need a bit ore understanding of what to do.

Here's a link to a youtube video about the calibration suite I like:

The Marlin feedrate and acceleration settings are usually set to what the printer can physically handle. The feedrate and acceleration settings in the slicer are set to the values that give the best prints.

There is a tradeoff between speed and print quality past a certain point. The calibration suite is used to get you close to the fastest speed whith acceptable/optimal quality.
