Permanently Writing to config file
December 23, 2016 07:57AM
I'm trying to update one of my printers to the duet and I'm finally using the web control to adjust everything instead of popping out the SD card and opening the config file via wordpad.

I can update the M codes (such as M665, M906) via the web interface, however when the printer is power cycled, everything returns to the default values.

What am I doing wrong, or what am I missing?

I'm sorry, I know this question is stupid, but I looked through the Duet forum and can't find anything...

In the web interface, go to the Settings page and the System Editor tab. From there you can edit config.g.

It's chrishamm (author of DWC) that you need to thank for that functionality.

btw the best documentation for the Duet series is now mostly at [duet3d.com]. It's fairly comprehensive for the Duet WiFi, quite good for the Duet 0.8.5, not so good for the Duet 0.6 in respect of wiring.
