FAN1 is not working - DUET 0.8.5

Hi RepRappers,

I have 2 always on fans (E3Dv6 hotend) and an electronics cooling fan, plus have just added 2 additional fans for PLA cooling.

The fan connected to FAN0 responds to the M106 P0 S255 command and spins up correctly

The fan connected to FAN1 does not respond to the M106 P1 S255 command.

I have physically swapped the fan cabling over to check that it wasn't a cable issue - both fans work and rotate in the correct direction when connected to the FAN0 header, but neither work when connected to the FAN1 header.

I am running the following firmware version:

12:05:10 PM M115
FIRMWARE_NAME: RepRapFirmware FIRMWARE_VERSION: 1.09x-dc42 ELECTRONICS: Duet 0.85 DATE: 2016-03-13

Anyone got any ideas?

Fixed! I found a post about FAN1 being set to hotend thermostatic by default - I ran the following command to disable this:

M106 P1 H-1

Now FAN1 responds to standard M106 P1 S255 commands and is spinning up.

I'll leave this here for others to reference. (It wasn't an easy find in the search tool).

Thanks for this thread! I needed the same info.

Any idea of a way to control FAN1 via DWC?
