I am using multiple extruders which have different steps/mm rates. To handle this, I though to add M92 E___ in tpre#.g file for each extruder. But It seems the firmware does not care these file at all. To check this I added M117 commands in each file but they did not show any message (although M117 in config.g file show the message). Where am I doing wrong?

I'll try to reproduce this when I have time. Is it just the tpre file that is not working - do the tfree and tpost files work for you?

You can set a separate extruder steps/mm for each extruder, for example:

M92 E420:550:200

Thanks for support. At first, none of these files worked. But later I saw some messages when I am not looking for it. Duet control panel was opened different computers and they showed different messages (like one showed tfree but other tpre) It might be working but I think not reliable.

I will use the command you say, it will be enough for me now.
