controlled heated box

So I have this idea, might be too much to be worth it tho

I am building an enclosed HEVO and plan to install a heating system to maintain 50c-70c temp for ABS printing.
Duet Wifi btw...

The design is for a dual extruder single hotend setup. This will leave the second hotend PWM mosfet output and thermistor input unused.

I will be building for 24v so I was thinking if I used two 12v 50 watt heat elements in series then I should be able to control them from that mosfet output.

IF it can handle 100w that is.......

These are the heaters I am thinking about.

If this is too much for it I can go for a 100w 12v one and use a second PSU just for the heater setup like this one:

The second idea would leave the Duet out of the equation fully and was my first thought btw, the idea to use the Duet is something I just thought of...
A fan would be circulating the air thru the heater element in both ideas of course

How about a separate PSU for the heater(s) and use the second hot end mosfet to control a DC to DC SSR. That way you can also use the thermister port for the second hot end and have full duet control.

but I have no intention of having a second hot end.

as far as an SSR and secondary PSU yes thats also doable, not needed if the one on board can handle 100 watt tho....

Yes that sounds feasible, then you can use the M141 H2 command to configure that heater as a chamber heater.

Just to confirm pls DC42, that mosfet can handle 100w ? I want to be sure as hotends are 40w and sometimes 50w I don't want to push this mosfet too hard.

The limiting component is the terminal block, not the mosfet. I forget its rating, but it should be good to at least 6A, which is 120W @ 24V.
