Version 2 differential-IR board. MAX31855 thermocouple and Duet 0.6

Looking to put a thermocouple on my duet on my ormerod 2. Still running a duet 0.6 with DC42's Version2 differential IR board.

I assume I will have to put the hot end fan back to the duet and only use the IR board for z sensor control. Guess the new mini IR board might be useful.

Anything else worth knowing about?

Thanks Steven

The hot end board won't control the fan without a thermistor. With no thermistor connected, the heatsink fan will run continuously.

You will need to feeds the thermocouple wires right back to the thermocouple adapter board, which should be close to the Duet. Thermocouple wires pick up interference easily, so keep them twisted all the way to the adapter board.
