3 Z Motors, external drives

Im building a corexy same design style as the RAILCORE but with a Smoothieboard. My problem is finding the best external stepper drivers for the z motors as mySmoothie5X doesnt have enough drivers. I like, understand TMC drivers but they will not work with Smoothie as far as i know? I dont really know how or where to look for other drivers. I will have a fairly heavy bed at 400X400 aluminum, silacone heated, magnetic so i want some fairly strong motors so they can be precise. Any help would be appreciated.

TMC drivers come in two flavors

SPI mode and normal step and direction mode.

The later will work on anything, the former needs the firmware to understand it and set it up with SPI

You need strong Z motors when things are over constrained, improperly aligned and therefore they have to overcome binding in lead screws, force the linear guides to straighten the frame.

Normally, the Z motor is the one requiring the least power.
